Photo Sessions

BRC Ranch loves and appreciates the hobby and business of photography. Just like in real estate, it's location, location, location that can make a great photo session!  BRC Ranch encompasses two locations totaling over 600 acres that we offer for private professional photography rentals.

This allows local and out-of-town photographers to book our ranch for their photo sessions. It also allows for those who live in our local community but hire an out of town photographer to get access to unique landscapes for photo shoots.

The ranch is available for photographers to book mini-session days, maternity shoots, engagement photo shoots, senior photo sessions, family photo sessions, bridal portraits, and more.

And, if you're in the area and are looking for a great photographer, we can also recommend one of those too!

Ranch photography amenities include:

  • Gorgeous pecan trees, with shade
  • Wide open air spaces with no trees
  • A gravel road with options for scenic tree background or open space background
  • Cattle working pens
  • Barbed wire fence line
  • Black pipe fence
  • One seasonal pond / water source
  • One large lake with a pier and a tree swing
  • Brahman baby calves available to be leased for photo sessions, seasonally, when available

Hosting a photography workshop?

Book our ranch for $300 per day, which includes unlimited access to the ranch for a variety of shoots, and use of the restroom facilities for all workshop attendees.

Hobby Photographer? Plan a day trip to BRC Ranch.

We also offer reservations to hobby / semi-professional photographers who would like to photograph in a new area. On a normal day at BRC you'll find Brahman cattle, crossbred cattle, calves alongside their mothers, bulls, birds, dogs, cowboys, trees, water sources. Hobby photographers can book a photography reservation for $100 which includes two hours. A ranch ATV is available for rent at $25/hour.

Ranch Photography Rental FAQs

Do I need a Reservation?
Yes. Please email rachel@brcutrer.com to schedule your time. You can also text 979-218-4157.
How far in advance do I need to book?
First time reservations, we ask for 1-2 business days in advance. Once a relationship is established with a photographer, usually accommodations can be made on a fairly fast turnaround.
Can I split the rental with another photographer?
No. Sessions are charged per photographer. When you arrive, the photographer will check in at the ranch office and receive credentials to be on the property. The photographer will provide a rough list of the expected number of of visitors to the ranch, who will also need to sign in at the ranch office. We allow a photographer and one assistant.
Can I bring props?
Yes. Props are welcome but must be cleared before hand with ranch owners.
Can I bring livestock?
Show cattle are welcome as long as they are halter broke. We have a full show barn and tie rail plus trailer parking.
Do I need to sign any type of liablity?
Yes. The photographer and clients will need to sign a waiver of liability stating they hold BRC Ranch harmless for any injuries that may incur on the property.
Do you offer an exclusive use of your ranch to a certain photographer?
No, at this time we do not. Priority is given to photographers we have worked with in the past.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are welcome, but must be on a leash. Pets may not interfere with the cattle at BRC Ranch. Any pet that attempts to chase / interfere with the cattle will immediately be asked to leave
When is payment due?
Payment is due to reserve a date. We allow cancellations within 7 days of the reserved date. Any cancellations less than 7 days will be charged a $50 cancellation fee. However your deposit can be used for another date if you wish to reschedule.
